A number of first-team stars played starring roles on Friday night, as Leeds’ U21s made short work of Southampton.
The latest up-and-coming crop of talent in west Yorkshire marked their return to action a short time ago.
Fresh off a stretch of three wins from four, Michael Skubala’s troops welcomed Southampton to Elland Road, for a Premier League 2 clash.
And, when all was said and done, another dominant display ultimately gave rise to a comfortable three-point haul for Leeds.
Aided by the talents of all of Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling, Junior Firpo, and summer signing Wilfried Gnonto, the Peacocks ran riot, en route to an eventual 6-2 triumph.
Hitman Bamford, unsurprisingly, proved the star of the show, helping himself to a trio of goals, all of which can be watched below:
