Vincent Kompany responds to Chelsea & Tottenham links

Vincent Kompany has been linked with some big teams recently.

Vincent Kompany took charge of Burnley last year as they looked for a swift return to the Premier League.

Less than 12 months later, the Clarets have achieved that. Burnley have 93 points with 43 games played and are set to be back in the top-flight next term.

They also have the best defence in the Championship and the second-best attack in the division behind Middlesbrough.

Such fine form has seen Kompany linked with Chelsea and Tottenham. Both outfits are without a permanent manager after Graham Potter and Antonio Conte’s departure.

And whilst Kompany may do well with either of these sides, he was quick to shut down any speculation over a move recently.

He told talkSPORT when asked for his take on the rumours linking him with the likes of Chelsea and Spurs: “The only thing I see it as is a wasted question. I always feel sorry for the journalist that is asking me the question because you are getting nothing. I made this decision before even starting the season that I was never going to get involved in speculation.
