Ipswich have signed Paraguayan attacking midfielder Julio Enciso on loan from Brighton.

The 21-year-old will spend the remainder of the season with the Premier League 18th-placed side, who tried to sign him last summer.

Enciso has made 12 league appearances for Brighton this season after making his return from a long-term injury.

He signed from Paraguayan side Club Libertad in June 2022 and has scored four goals in 24 appearances.

β€œI am so happy to be here,” Enciso said.

β€œThe conversations with the Manager have been good. I am very grateful to him and the Club for believing in me. I can’t wait to get going.

β€œI’m a real fighter and I will do my best in every game.”
