Everton star Richarlison has, on Thursday, taken to social media to respond to claims in the media that he is pushing for a move away from the club ahead of next season.

Speculation surrounding the name of Brazilian international Richarlison has of course been rampant in the media for some time now.

This comes with Everton understood to be in dire straits financially, and in need of an imminent cash injection.

Richarlison, fresh off another solid individual campaign which saw him rack up 11 goals and five assists despite the Toffees being forced into an unlikely battle against Premier League relegation, is therefore viewed as one of few potential avenues towards such funds.

To this point, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have all been namedropped in the press as expressing a keen interest in Richarlison's services.

Upon word beginning to spread over the last 48 hours that the 25-year-old had informed those in a position of power at Goodison Park of his desire to move on, those of an Everton persuasion were therefore left with little choice but to face up to the reality that their beloved attacking star would not be lining out in the colours of the Blues beyond the summer.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest social media activity on the part of Richarlison himself is anything to go by, then such an outcome may not yet be a foregone conclusion.

In a post on his official Twitter account a short time ago, the ex-Watford star responded to claims that:

'Richarlison wants to leave Everton and has asked to be traded. The player gave preference to three clubs: Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.'

Evidently taking issue with suggestions that he is pushing for a Merseyside departure, though, the Brazilian replied:

'It's crazy who trusts these sources'
