An insight into the predicted value of Arsenal's opening bid for Leeds United star Raphinha has been provided on Monday.

The day to date has of course seen wide-man Raphinha hotly tipped for an Emirates switch.

This comes with the Gunners understood to be eyeing reinforcements to Mikel Arteta's attacking ranks, and the Brazilian international widely expected to call time on his Elland Road stint this summer.

Barcelona had previously been viewed as the runaway frontrunners to strike a deal with Leeds, but recent weeks have seen the interest of the Blaugrana cool.

Arsenal, eyeing something of a spending spree ahead of next season, have therefore stepped up to the plate, with reports from Raphinha's home country of Brazil earlier today having gone as far as to suggest that the Gunners could announce a deal for the 25-year-old as soon as this week.

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of The Times, as cited by The Daily Mail, who suggest that Arsenal's opening proposal to Leeds is imminent.

Not only that, but the value of the expected offer is too revealed, with those in a position of power at the Emirates ready to put the pressure on their counterparts in west Yorkshire, courtesy of a hefty £50 million bid.

Should Raphinha ultimately go on to make the move to north London, it is expected to signal the end of record signing Nicolas Pepe's time at the club.
