Spanish giants Real Madrid have seen their plans for both the immediate and long-term future dealt a hammer blow on Saturday, owing to confirmation of Kylian Mbappe's plans beyond the conclusion of the campaign.

The name of French sensation Mbappe has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Europe for almost a year now.

This comes with the 23-year-old, in the midst of another scintillating campaign in front of goal, having allowed the terms of his current contract with Paris Saint-Germain to wind down.

The widespread assumption, in turn, was that Mbappe was primed to depart the Parc des Princes for pastures new.

The aforementioned Real Madrid, meanwhile, had long been viewed as runaway front-runners to strike a deal, amid the understanding that the hitman himself 'dreams' of lining out in the colours of Los Blancos.

Just yesterday, it was then confirmed that Mbappe had in fact struck a verbal agreement with both Real AND PSG, ahead of coming to a definitive decision over the course of the weekend.

Staying put

And now, as alluded to above, Mbappe has made his call.

In a considerable blow for all associated with Real Madrid, it has been revealed by a host of reliable sources that the French international has decided to remain in Paris for the time being.

Mbappe, in turn, is primed to put pen to paper on what will no doubt prove an eye-watering financial package over the days ahead.
