Man United scout duo

Premier League outfit Manchester United have sent scouts to Greece to run the rule over two Olympiacos players, according to reports in Spain.

As reported by Fichajes:

The ‘Red Devils’ have sent scouts to Greece to evaluate two players who are dazzling the fans of the first division.

This duo are named as Mady Camara and Aguibou Camara.

Should Man United sign Camara and Aguibou Camara?

Mady is a 24-year-old central midfielder who would join Olympiacos in July of 2018 from French outfit AC Ajaccio. He has since gone on to feature on 143 occasions for the Greek side, scoring 19 goals and assisting 12 in the process.

However, with Camara a natural central midfielder, United’s fans are likely to question if he is a player that their side actually need.

The Red Devils already boast a number of options in the middle of the park, but do lack a proper defensive midfielder.

And with Mady already 24, one would assume that he would be brought in to act as a regular feature. With the Reds in such desperate need of a top-quality no.6, though, perhaps they would be better severed looking at someone with more experience in Europe’s top leagues.

As for Aguibou Camara, he is only 20, so has more time to develop into a quality player.

Aguibou joined Olympiacos from Lille in July of 2021, and has since scored two and assisted one in 10 outings for the club.

Aguibou, unlike Mady, is a central attacking midfielder by trade, but can also be used on the right-wing.

So, perhaps Man United could bring the 20-year-old in as a backup option to Bruno Fernandes?

The Portuguese starts in the majority of the club’s fixtures, but outside of Fernandes, United have little quality in the no.10 spot, especially if Jesse Lingard plans to leave at the end of the season.
