Manchester City have identified two defenders who could replace Nathan Aké.

The Dutch defender looks set to join Chelsea with the Blues making a strong move for their former defender.

Thomas Tuchel's side have already agreed personal terms with the player.

Manchester City two Aké replacements

According to ESPN Deportes journalist, Rodrigo Fáez, City are targeting Jules Koundé and Pau Torres.

Koundé has been subject to lots of interest from all around Europe.

The French defender has been linked with FC Barcelona, PSG and Chelsea.

City know that a move for Koundé could be difficult due to Sevilla's demands and Barça trying to close a deal.

Pau Torres has also attracted plenty of interest following his role in helping Villarreal reach the Champions League semi-finals.

The Spaniard would also be a direct replacement for Aké as he is a left-footed defender.

He is likely to be much more attainable with the Yellow Submarine open to selling him, and Torres having a 55m euro release clause.

Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign Aké

The Blues are now waiting for City to sign a replacement and give the move the green light.
