An insight into Manchester City’s summer transfer plans has been provided on Friday.

Man City have one of the best squads in England and most recently added to their ranks by signing Julian Alvarez from Argentina, with the striker set to link up with the club before the start of next season.

However, the Sky Blues also have a number of players who are due to enter the final year of their deals this summer, with Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva all publicly linked with a move away from the Etihad over the last year or so.

In turn, reports stemming from the Daily Mail suggest that Manchester City have added a central midfielder - capable of operating both in a reserved holding position and in a more advanced role - to their transfer wish list, with it added that the club are planning to start next season with at least three new players:

That just leaves one position for Man City to strengthen in and, given their lack of natural options in the full-back role, perhaps the Premier League champions will opt to target cover for Kyle Walker.
