Man City & West Ham’s Joe Hart to join Chelsea?
Now that the January transfer window is close, the transfer rumours will stop, right? Wrong.
Seemingly addicted to transfer gossip, the Sun on Sunday have floated a hard-to-believe story.
It’s been another horror season for Joe Hart. Man City farmed the goalie out to West Ham for the season, but Hart is now firmly the number two at the Hammers behind Adrian.
Indeed, Hart was only getting game time in the cups. And Wigan dumped the Irons out the FA Cup a fortnight ago.
Will Hart be going to the 2018 World Cup? Perhaps the more urgent question is will Hart play for West Ham again this season?
For the record Hart is out of contract with Man City at the end of the campaign.
And according to the Sunday Sun, Chelsea could sign the England international in the off-season.
What’s with Thibaut Courtois?
The Joe Hart to Chelsea rumour is couched in belief Thibaut Courtois may leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
As Chelsea fans will no doubt be tired of hearing, Courtois is supposedly a target for Real Madrid.
On the potential goalkeeper merry-go-round at the end of the season, the Sun report the following:
Chelsea face a huge battle over Thibaut Courtois’ future — and want Joe Hart as his replacement.
His departure would leave a massive hole for Chelsea to fill but Hart, 30, is a keeper that has interested them.
Is anyone buying this?
From our perspective, it would be a huge shock if Joe Hart joined Chelsea this summer. Especially if Hart was being signed to be the club’s number one goalie.
