Koundé to Chelsea: Sevilla's search for replacement holding up deal

Currently, the Spanish club are still searching for a replacement for Diego Carlos.

They have already lost one central defender this window with the Brazilian joining Aston Villa.

Monchi, Sevilla's sporting director, is moving as quickly as possible to secure replacements for both Carlos and Koundé.

Duje Ćaleta-Car is a player they want and know Marseille's valuation will drop over the next few weeks with the player soon out of contract.

Karim Rekik and Nemanja Gudelj are also being targeted as they look to bring in a second centre-back.

Chelsea contact Ousmane Dembele

Meanwhile, the Blues are also working on a deal to sign Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer.

As per’s Adam Newson, Chelsea have made contact with the player's agent.

Although, as of yet, no agreement has been found between the two parties.
