Doubt over Antony’s Ajax starting spot vs Rotterdam suggests Manchester United’s stance over new bid

Manchester United saw a bid for Antony rejected on Thursday, however, they look set to try again.

Manchester United are keen to add to their forward line and Ajax’s Antony is a player that they have been chasing.

The Red Devils saw an offer for the winger rejected and they had been planning what to do next.

However, the latest developments suggest that United are now intent on signing the Brazilian.

United readying new Antony bid

Manchester United are ready to make a new bid for Antony, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils are refusing to give up on signing the winger despite seeing an €80 million bid rejected.

The plan for the Premier League club is now to try again with another attempt to sign the 22-year-old.

The latest developments regarding United’s interest look to have affected his immediate Ajax future.

The winger’s starting spot against Sparta Rotterdam is now in doubt and internal conversations will now take place.

Meanwhile, De Telegraaf claims that he missed training today, but still reported to the club’s training base.

This suggests that the player could be unsettled by the bid and that United are very serious about landing him.

Given how toothless Erik ten Hag’s side look in attack, Antony would be a welcomed addition.

Will Casemiro play vs Liverpool?

Manchester United have attempted to accelerate a deal for Casemiro in an attempt to have him registered in time to face Liverpool.

However, their efforts are unlikely to be rewarded with the 30-year-old not expected to receive his work permit in time, report MEN Sport.

But despite this, United look to have got their man with personal terms now agreed.
