Dortmund chief speaks out amid delay in Jadon Sancho’s Man United switch being confirmed

Borussia Dortmund CEO Michael Zorc has, on Sunday, provided a fresh update on Jadon Sancho’s imminent move to Manchester United.

Sancho deal struck

The news which Red Devils fans across the globe were waiting for was of course finally forthcoming on the 1st of the month.

On the back of weeks, months and even years of negotiations, a deal between the transfer chiefs at Old Trafford, and their counterparts at Borussia Dortmund, was at last struck for Jadon Sancho.

This came after the former finally agreed to pay up, with a fee of around £73 million understood to have been agreed upon between the two clubs.

The English international, in turn, was tipped to make the move to the Theatre of Dreams upon the completion of the nation’s Euro 2020 campaign.

‘All things settled’

The Three Lions’ European endeavours, though, of course came to a close in heartbreaking fashion a full week ago, with Sancho one of those to have seen a spot-kick saved en route to a penalty shootout defeat at the hands of Italy.

Why has the 21-year-old’s Old Trafford switch not yet been made official, then?

This was a subject which Dortmund CEO Michal Zorc was drawn on this evening, during a discussion with the media.

If the German’s comments were anything to by, though, then the Manchester United faithful need not fret, with Zorc having gone as far as to assure that, as far as the Bundesliga giants are concerned, ‘the transfer is done’:
