Done deal? Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid ‘could be made official on Friday’

A series of groundbreaking updates surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid have been forthcoming on Thursday evening.

Mbappe wants out

Recent days have of course seen speculation surrounding the future of Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe ramp up in a major way.

The French international, who endured a tournament to forget at Euro 2020 this summer, has made crystal clear his desire to leave the Parc des Princes behind before the transfer window slams shut next week.

When drawn on the future of one of world football’s most sought after young talents on Wednesday, PSG sporting director Leonardo explained:

‘Kylian Mbappé wants to leave, that seems clear.’

In turn, with just a year remaining on his contract with the club, the board in the French capital have been left with little choice but to take a sale into consideration.

La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid, meanwhile, have long been the club most hotly tipped as a potential landing spot for Mbappe.

Los Blancos have been hot on the trail of the former Monaco man for some time now, with Florentino Perez evidently keen to make up for the high-profile departures of both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane this summer.

First, it was revealed by a host of reliable sources that the Spanish giants had tabled an improved offer to PSG, worth €170 million, plus bonuses:

And, despite initial claims to the contrary, it appears that the hierarchy in Paris, a short time ago, finally caved in their stance regarding Mbappe.

As per Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz of El Chiringuito TV and Marca, a deal between PSG and Real Madrid has been all but confirmed, with the 22-year-old, as a result, potentially set to link up with the latter as early as tomorrow:
