Crystal Palace are signing Midtjylland striker Alexander Sørloth

Tuesday night’s London derby between West Ham and Crystal Palace ended in a tie.

Palace took the lead at the London Stadium thanks to a header from Christian Benteke.

That was just the second goal Benteke has scored in the Premier League this season.

But West Ham went into the break level after Mark Noble scored from the penalty spot.

According to reports on Wednesday morning, Crystal Palace are signing Midtjylland striker Alexander Sørloth on transfer deadline day.

The likes of Jan Aage Fjortoft have taken to social media to confirm that Sørloth-Palace deal.

Of course, the Eagles have been searching for a striker for months.

Palace started the year with just Christian Benteke as a recognised forward in their squad.

Who is Alexander Sørloth?

A 22-year-old striker, Alexander Sørloth has scored 15 goals in 26 games for FC Midtjylland this season in all competitions.

He’s also chipped in with nine assists this campaign.

Sørloth has also chalked up 12 international caps for Denmark.

It’s believed he could move to Selhurst Park is a deal worth around 10 million pounds.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek ‘leaves’ Crystal Palace

It was  confirmed on Tuesday that Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been loaned out to Crystal Palace for the season, is now back at Chelsea.

RLC has been out of action for weeks with an injury.

Palace have been unable to help the midfielder in his recovery, so they Eagles have sent Loftus-Cheek back to Chelsea for treatment.

It’s unclear if the midfielder will return to Palace this season.

Preston’s Jordan Hugill

Reports also sprung up on Tuesday that Crystal Palace could buy Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in 29 games for Preston.
