Premier League outfit Crystal Palace have agreed to part ways with striker Christian Benteke on a permanent basis, according to reports.
The former Liverpool man’s imminent landing spot? MLS club DC United.
As confirmed by a host of sources on Friday evening, late last night, an agreement was reached between the powers that be at Selhurst Park, and their counterparts in Washington, DC, to send Benteke to the latter with immediate effect.
This comes after newly-appointed United boss Wayne Rooney pushed hard for a deal for the experienced Belgian over the course of the last week.

Benteke, as a result, is set to be a late omission from Palace’s latest matchday squad on Friday.
Patrick Vieira’s troops are primed to kick their Premier League campaign into gear in short order, when they welcome capital rivals Arsenal to Selhurst Park for the 2022/23 curtain-raiser in the English top-flight.
Christian Benteke not at Selhurst today, won’t be taking part against Arsenal. Was initially in the team but a move away from Palace is imminent and he’s asked to be left out. #CPFC
