Chelsea to allow Armando Broja to join West Ham on one condition

A fresh insight into the future of in-demand Chelsea starlet Armando Broja has, on Sunday, been forthcoming online.

Hitman Broja is of course fresh off an impressive stint in England's southeast, after linking up with Ralph Hasenhuttl's Southampton on a temporary basis last summer.

All told, despite something of a barren spell in front of goal over the latter months of the campaign, the highly-regarded Albanian racked up a respectable nine goals across all competitions, six of which came by way of the Premier League.

It is Broja's all-round exploits, though - the 20-year-old boasts a rare combination of size, athleticism and touch - which are understood to have seen interest in his services begin to mount ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Early in the summer, it was Newcastle United who were tipped as the most likely landing spot for Broja, ready to make use of the club's new-found wealth to tempt Chelsea into a sale.

Recent weeks, however, have seen another of the Premier League's clubs, in the form of West Ham United, take a clear lead in the Broja sweepstakes.

The Hammers are of course in desperate need of fresh blood up top, having essentially run Michail Antonio into the ground this past season.

In turn, negotiations have long been opened between the transfer team at the London Stadium, and their counterparts at Stamford Bridge.

And now, as alluded to above, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided. The info comes courtesy of the Daily Mail, who suggest that Broja's move to the London Stadium 'is set to proceed' over the coming weeks.

This comes after the powers that be at West Ham opened to the prospect of a 12-month loan, having seen their prior enquiries regarding a permanent transfer knocked back.

The Irons, in turn, are ready to sanction a temporary swoop for the striker, with a view to a fresh round of negotiations over a permanent deal next summer.

Chelsea, for their part, though, have made clear that they 'haven't given up on Broja being able to make it at Stamford Bridge'.
