Scottish giants Celtic have, on Thursday, confirmed the latest addition to the club’s first-team ranks.
The subject of fresh blood, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the green half of the Glasgow divide over the course of the week to date.
This comes on the back of the reappointment of Brendan Rodgers as the club’s new head coach.
After Ange Postecoglou came to the decision to move south of the border to link up with Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur, negotiations moved swiftly to bring Rodgers, who enjoyed a stellar stint at Parkhead between 2016 and 2019, in as his replacement.
Attentions, though, have already turned away from the situation on the bench at Celtic Park, and towards squad plans.
Rodgers is now expected to put his personal touch on the player setup in Glasgow, by way of a number of summer signings.
The player to have taken his talents to Celtic with a view to the 2023/24 campaign? Odin Thiago Holm.
As confirmed in an official statement across the Bhoys’ website and social media platforms:
‘We are delighted to announce the signing of Norwegian midfielder Odin Thiago Holm from Vålerenga on a five-year deal, subject to international clearance.’
Holm is a 20-year-old Norwegian youth international, long held in high regard in his home country.
