England will expect to make it three wins from three in World Cup qualifying when they take on Andorra in Barcelona this afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel’s men started their quest to make it to the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer with wins over Albania and Latvia in March and should have no problem in easing past Group K minnows Andorra at the home of Espanyol.

The hosts have played two and lost two so far after going down 1-0 at home to Latvia before a 3-0 defeat in Albania.

England Team News

The big news is Jordan Henderson starts for England for the first time since November 2023 against Malta.

The Ajax midfielder has been drafted back into the reckoning by Tuchel after a strong season at Ajax.

Chelsea duo Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer also start, as does Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers in a youthful-looking team.

England have just three recognised defenders in the XI.

England: Pickford; James, Konsa, Burn; J Henderson, Jones, Bellingham, Rogers, Madueke; Palmer; Kane

Subs: Walker, Rice, Colwill, Gibbs-White, Gordon, D Henderson, Toney, Eze, Alexander-Arnold, Lewis-Skelly, Trafford, Chalobah.
