Barcelona could try to sign a PSG star if they cannot land Alvaro Morata, according to reports on France.
Barcelona’s January transfer window
Barcelona announced their first major transfer of the winter window at the back end of December
Barcelona signed Spanish international Ferran Torres from Manchester City for a reported initial €55m, with another €10m in installments.
Despite only just being able to register Torres after Samuel Umtiti signed a new contract with lower wages, Barcelona have continued to be linked with more players, including Juventus’ Alvaro Morata:
Il sì di #Morata al #Barça è totale: 18 mesi di contratto garantiti. La palla passa ora alla #Juve che, ovviamente, per liberare il centravanti spagnolo deve prima trovare un sostituto 🔥🇪🇸 @Goalitalia

Barcelona eye Icardi as Morata alternative
Those links to Morata, though, were at the back end of December, and Barcelona are still yet to sign the Juventus man.
So, it is not too surprising to see reports now linking Barcelona with an alternative striking option.
The player in question is PSG’s Mauro Icardi. Icardi has scored 38 and assisted 10 in 83 outings for PSG, which is a pretty respectable record given he is often used as a sub and does not complete 90 minutes too often.
Now, according to French outlet le10sport, Barcelona have made Alvaro Morata their priority to reinforce their attack.
However, a deal could be complicated, with Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri said to have no intention of letting the Spaniard go.
So, as per le10sport, Barcelona could try to obtain Mauro Icardi on loan if they cannot sign Morata.
