Arsenal, along with Manchester United, are showing an interest in Lyon's Moussa Dembele, it has been reported.

According to recent reports, Manchester United are considering making a move for Dembele should Ronaldo leave this summer.

The Lyon hitman is very the definition of a modern striker, combing his pace with some excellent finishing.

The 26-year-old scored 22 and assisted five in all competitions for Lyon this past season, and has also previously proven himself against the best side in England.

Dembele came on for the final 15 minutes of Lyon’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City in 2020, and went on to score two goals thanks to his ability to get in behind City’s backline.

Now though, it appears Dembele is also garnering interest from Arsenal.

According to Media Foot (via TBR), Arsenal are continuing to monitor Dembele, with Manchester United stepping up their interest in the 25-year-old.

Arsenal have already signed Gabriel Jesus this summer. However, previous reports this month suggested the north Londoners could still sign another striker for a smaller fee than the one they paid for Jesus.

And as Dembele is now in the final year of his Lyon contract, you assume that he would be available for a cut-price fee.

However, should Arsenal indeed sign Dembele, it would likely annoy Eddie Nketiah, who has just signed a new contract but would, in theory, become the Gunners’ third-choice striker once more.

And whilst Arsenal could move Jesus out to the left-wing, that seems unlikely as they have just handed the Brazilian the no.9 shirt.
