Tottenham’s latest announcement suggests stance over sacking Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte looks to be a dead man walking at Tottenham but he may last a few more weeks at the club yet...

Tottenham Hotspur exited the Champions League on a whimper last night as went out at the hands of AC Milan.

Spurs failed to land a glove on the Italians across both legs and missed a great opportunity against a weak Milan side.

Overall the season has been a major disappointment and the past week has just been the tip of the iceberg.

With Spurs crashing out of the FA Cup and Champions League, Conte has now lost the majority of support from the Spurs faithful.

Boos rang around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday as the supporters vented their frustration at the coaching staff and players.

But ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest, the 53-year-old looks set to remain in charge.

Conte to take press conference vs Nottingham Forest

This, of course, suggests that the Italian will survive another game in the Tottenham hot seat.

Forest will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing a wounded Spurs team on Saturday.

Spurs are now just going through the motions with Conte at the helm and it may be a case of the club lining up a replacement first.

Sky Sports are reporting that Mauricio Pochettino, Luis Enrique, Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva and Thomas Frank are among the list of replacements.
