Tottenham 2-0 West Ham: Match report, player ratings, fan reaction & more

Tottenham and West Ham faced off in a Premier League match on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham headed into the game looking to bounce back from their 4-1 hammering at the hands of Leicester last week and their recent defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League.

And when all was said and done, Tottenham came out on top and are now temporarily in the top-four.

West Ham began the brighter of the two sides, with Jarrod Bowen firing an effort just wide in the opening minutes.

The Hammers were lucky to escape a handball shout moments later as Thilo Kehrer appeared to handle a Richarlison pass but nothing was given.

Following that penalty shout, there was little in the way of chances for either side in the remainder of the first 45.

Neither manager opted to make changes at the break, which was surprising given the lack of quality on display.

But it took just 11 minutes of the second half for someone to finally score. Ben Davies burst forward and picked up a well-timed pass from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg before playing in Emerson who finished well.

Heung-min Son then came off the bench to add a second goal for the home outfit 72 minutes in and kill the game off.
