The latest odds on the Premier League's top-4 race after Arsenal's win over Wolves


 

Updated odds on the battle for Champions League football in the Premier League have come to the fore on Friday, and spell altogether encouraging news for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.

The latest development in the English top-flight's top-4 race was of course forthcoming on Thursday night.

On the back of successive downings of Wolves and Brentford, Arsenal welcomed the former back to north London, aware that a three-point haul would see them close to within a point of 4th-placed Manchester United.

And, when all was said and done at the Emirates, emerge triumphant is precisely what the Gunners managed, owing to late strikes on the part of Nicolas Pepe and, deep into injury time, Alexandre Lacazette:

In turn, as alluded to above, Arsenal have clinched sole possession of 5th in the Premier League, clear of all of West Ham United, Wolves and, crucially, north London rivals Tottenham.

And, if the latest odds to have come to the fore across the United Kingdom's bookmakers on Friday are anything to go by, then their latest victory means that the Gunners should now be viewed as outright favourites to clinch the final of England's top-4 spots come the season's end.

This comes with Arteta's troops boasting not one, but two games in hand on Manchester United.

Not only that, but should they emerge victorious from the club's solitary game in hand over Chelsea, Arsenal will move to within just two points of their capital rivals in 3rd.

As a result, the north London giants sit at evens to finish in the top-4, ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham and Wolves, in that order:
