'Terminate his contract' - West Ham fans slam key member of Moyes' ranks after Brentford defeat

Supporters of West Ham United have taken to social media in their droves on Sunday, to make their frustrations with a crucial member of the club's frontline known.

David Moyes' troops were of course back in action a short time ago.

After seeing all of Arsenal, Manchester United and Wolves drop points across the weekend to date, the Hammers made the trip across London to the Brentford Community Stadium, desperate to take full advantage amid the club's ongoing pursuit of a top-6 berth.

When all was said and done in the English capital, however, to say that such efforts came up short would be something of an understatement.

A dismal all-round display on the part of the afternoon's visitors ultimately culminated in Brentford emerging on the right side of a fully deserved 2-0 triumph.

'Release Antonio'

On the back of the action being brought to a close at the Brentford Community Stadium, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the West Ham faithful being firmly up in arms.

Taking to social media in their numbers, the Irons faithful have not been at all shy in making their frustrations with a whole host of the club's stars known.

None, however, has been singled out for more widespread condemnation than one - Michail Antonio.

Amid a rough spell of form of late, hitman Antonio struggled throughout proceedings once more on Sunday, and proved largely at fault for Brentford's result-clinching 2nd of the day.

In turn, the backlash across Twitter has been an absolute sight to behold, with just some of the highlights showcased below:
