‘Something is wrong’ - Real Madrid fans slate key player after Osasuna draw

The Blancos faithful have not been at all shy in taking aim at a star member of Ancelotti’s squad

Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have flooded to social media on Sunday evening, to make their frustrations with one player crystal clear.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago.

On the back of what felt like an extended international break, Los Blancos welcomed Osasuna to the Bernabeu, hopeful of maintaining their flawless start to the La Liga campaign to leapfrog Clasico rivals Barcelona back to the summit of the Spanish top-flight.

When all was said and done, however, the evening’s hosts were ultimately forced to make do with a share of the spoils.

This came as Vinicius Jr’s first-half opener was cancelled out by Kike Garcia’s decisive equaliser on the other side of the interval.

Following the full-time whistle in what proved a hugely frustrating 90 minutes for all associated with Real, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the backlash spilling over onto social media post-match.

Taking to Twitter in their droves, those of a Blancos persuasion have made their anger clear, with one member of Ancelotti’s squad in particular singled out for widespread condemnation.

The player in question? Karim Benzema.

Ballon d’Or frontrunner Benzema endured an evening to forget on Sunday, missing a penalty as well as seeing a goal chalked off for offside amid a hugely underwhelming all-round showing.

And Real’s supporters, in turn, have not been at all shy in making their feelings with the club’s star attacker clear, amid mounting concern over Benzema’s early-season form as a whole:
