Video & remarkable stats as Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun nets again for Reims

The England youth international was back on target on Sunday

Arsenal talent Folarin Balogun has taken his place centre stage in the French football headlines once more on Sunday evening.

Hitman Balogun, of course, secured a fresh departure from the Emirates during the summer transfer window.

Despite a largely productive loan spell in the Championship with Middlesbrough over the 2nd half of last season, Mikel Arteta and co. evidently came to the conclusion that the England youth international was not yet ready to contribute on a weekly basis back in north London.

Balogun, in turn, was farmed out once more, on this occasion linking up with Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims.

And what a start to life he has since gone on to enjoy in France.

Taking to the pitch on Sunday for the ninth occasion this season, the 21-year-old wasted little time in bagging a 6th goal, courtesy of a poacher’s finish at the front post:

And such efforts on Balogun’s part have since given rise to a remarkable statistic.

With six goals and two assists to his name thus far, the Hale End youth product is now averaging a direct goal contribution in Ligue 1 every 68 minutes:
