Revealed: Why Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham could have blank Gameweek during GW9

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham could all be set for a blank Gameweek during GW9.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace vs Chelsea have been thrown into some doubt, according to Football.London.

Train drivers at 12 rail companies have announced that they will be taking strike on October 1-5.

These major strikes were initially planned were due to happen on September 15-17 but were cancelled as a mark of respect for the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The new planned strikes could now cause further havoc for the Premier League’s schedule by clashing with two London derbies.

Games at risk:

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur - October 1 at 12:45 pm

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea - October 1 at 3:00 pm

Although, Premier League games have previously gone ahead despite rail strikes, so no postponements are likely yet but it is one to keep an eye on.
