Revealed: Who Premier League rapper Dide really is

Fans think they have it figured out

The identity of Dide, a rapper who claimed to be a Premier League player, has been worked out by internet sleuths, it has been reported.

The rapper, who wears a mask in order to protect his identity, suggested that he was a top flight footballer, leading to plenty of social media speculation about who it could possibly be.

Lines such as “my team stay winning” and “every game is like a final” suggested it could well be an Arsenal player, with fans were to point to Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah (Eddie almost being an anagram of Dide) or Bukayo Saka.

It was thought to be narrowed down to a footballer in London due to the music videos being shot in the capital, meaning that Chelsea players were also in the equation, while some suggested that Wilfried Zaha could also be an option.

Speaking on the footballersfootball podcast, Michael Antonio ruled himself out, hinting it could be Nketiah.

“Obviously, he says south London, big time Premier League player, I got my own money, so it ain’t me,” Antonio says.

However, fans don’t think it is.

In fact, they believe that the mystery rapper is none other than one time Liverpool academy graduate Sheyi Ojo, who now plays for Cardiff City in the Championship.

This comes after eagle-eyed fans spotted his diamond tattoo during one of his music videos, which they believe is the same on sported by the ex-Merseyside man.

Ojo spent 7 years at Liverpool but managed just 8 appearances, with loan spells at Rangers, Wigan Athletic, Cardiff and Millwall, before joining the Welsh club on a permanent deal last summer.
