Revealed: When Antonio Conte is expected to return to Tottenham dugout

Antonio Conte’s return to the dugout has been delayed...

Antonio Conte has spent the last few weeks back in Italy recovering from gallbladder surgery.

The 53-year-old initially had the surgery at the start of last month and then returned for two matches.

The decision was then made for him to rest for another few weeks back at home in Italy.

However, he is now close to being back on the touchline and his next match has been revealed...

Conte’s return delayed

Antonio Conte is expected to be absent for Spurs’ trip to Wolves on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, the Italian is now expected to return ahead of AC Milan.

He last took charge of Spurs at the San Siro for their 1-0 defeat to Milan.

Tottenham are now looking to turn the tie around in the second-leg next week.

On Thursday, he was nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award.

This came despite him having only been on the touchline for one match - a 4-1 defeat at Leicester.

His assistant Cristian Stellini has been taking care of things whilst he has been away and by all accounts, he’s done a very good job.

Although, he did suffer his first defeat on Wednesday as Spurs slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United in the FA Cup.
