Arsenal headed into the match having seen their lead atop of the Premier League reduced earlier in the day.
Manchester City smashed Liverpool 4-1 to move within five points of the Gunners.
And with Man City having a game in hand and still needing to play Arsenal once more this season, the north Londoners could not afford to drop any points vs Leeds on Saturday.
It was a slow start from the current league leaders, but Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring after 35 minutes from the spot.
Arsenal went on to net another three in the second 45 with Leeds only able to muster up one consolation goal, ensuring Arsenal’s eight-point lead is back intact for at least another few days.
Now, speaking after the game, Mikel Arteta has revealed what he told his players: “Well a few things that we had to improve. The way they set up they were really man marking our attacking midfielders. They were playing a back six, they were playing four really quick players, they caught us on transition and we started to lose the ball in areas that you can’t do against teams that want to defend like that.
Arsenal’s next outing sees them face Liverpool on April 9, whilst Manchester City face off with Southampton the day prior.
