Arsenal kicked off at the Emirates having seen their lead atop of the Premier League shortened to just two points following Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Newcastle in the early kick-off.
The Gunners, though, were likely expecting an easy win vs a Cherries side who have shipped the most goals in the top-flight so far this season.
However, a Philip Billing goal inside the first minute of the game sent shockwaves around north London.
Arsenal were unable to find a reply in the first 45, with Marcos Senesi doubling the away outfit’s lead shortly before the hour-mark.
Any hope of three points for Arsenal was quickly fading away but goals from Thomas Partey and Ben White in the 62nd and 70th minute gave Mikel Arteta and co. a shot at a major comeback.
Substitute Reiss Nelson, who assisted White’s goal just a minute after coming on, then netted a 97th-minute winner to restore Arsenal’s five-point lead over Manchester City.
During the celebrations, Ben White celebrated directly in front of Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto, who had frustrated the Arsenal players with his time-wasting for much of the game.
White was seen fist-pumping in close proximity to the Brazilian before eventually joining his jubilant teammates.
