An insight into the significant impact felt across Chelsea’s squad owing to the January departure of Jorginho has been provided on Saturday evening.
Midfielder Jorginho, of course, sealed a surprise exit from Stamford Bridge this past winter.
After slipping down the pecking order in west London owing to the arrival of Enzo Fernandez, the Italian international was not only allowed to move on, but to link up with a direct rival, in Arsenal.
Chelsea have endured an altogether difficult time of things since, albeit with few of a Blues persuasion having highlighted a direct link between such woes and Jorginho moving on.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, then, in fact, the absence of the 31-year-old appears to have hit the club’s dressing room rather hard.
As per a report from The Athletic, Jorginho was an extremely popular figure amongst Chelsea’s players.
This comes with the midfield conductor having acted as an important communicator and ‘glue guy’, owing to his ability to speak multiple languages.
With the Blues diverse panel of stars continuing to struggle for cohesiveness, Jorginho’s departure is therefore widely considered to be a ‘significant blow’.
