Real Madrid continued their impressive run of form with a 3-0 win over Valencia at Mestalla, extending their winning streak under Jose Mourinho.
Federico Valverde opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Arda Guler doubled the visitors’ advantage eight minutes later and Kylian Mbappe put the game to bed in the second half.
Diomande was particularly lively down the left, driving into the penalty area and forcing Stole Dimitrievski to gather his attempted cross.
However, Valencia almost took a surprise lead in the 18th minute when Aurelien Tchouameni lost possession near his own penalty area.
Aaron Mayol seized the opportunity and fired towards goal, but Thibaut Courtois produced an excellent save to preserve the deadlock.
The hosts then thought they had broken through when Guido Rodriguez found the net, only for the midfielder to be ruled offside.
Madrid responded by increasing the tempo and eventually made their dominance count in the 28th minute.
Following a free-kick, Valverde collected possession outside the penalty area and drove a right-footed effort into the bottom corner to put the visitors ahead.
Guler doubled Madrid’s lead in the 36th minute, leaving Javier Aguirre’s team facing a difficult task against opponents growing increasingly confident.
Madrid remained in control after the interval, with Mbappe continuing to stretch Valencia’s defence.
The French forward raced into space during one counter-attack and attempted to lift the ball over Dimitrievski, but the goalkeeper recovered to make an important save.

Valencia struggled to create opportunities against Madrid’s organised back line, with Konate producing a well-timed challenge to stop Umar Sadiq advancing into the penalty area.
Dimitrievski was called upon again to deny Mbappe, who, on another night, could have had plenty more.
