Revealed: The bargain price that Chelsea are set to let attacker leave for this summer

The Blues are ready to let him leave on the cheap

Chelsea are willing to let Christian Pulisic depart the club for just £20m this summer, it has been revealed, with Juventus leading the race for his signature.

The Blues are expected to undergo wholesale change this summer as they look to slim down their squad following their worst Premier League seaon in history. Finishing 12th, they broke 11 club records in a historically bad campaign and now have no European football to look forward to next season.

One of those free to leave is Pulisic. The USMNT poster boy arrived in west London with high expectations and a £60m transfer fee from Borussia Dortmund, but has failed to produce anything of note during his stint at Stamford Bridge.

Injuries, form and upheaval have restricted him to just 58 Premier League starts across four seasons, and he managed only eight of those this season. Appearing nearly 150 times in total for the Blues, he has only managed to contribute 26 goals and 21 assists in that time, and has fallen behind the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke in the pecking order since January.

Now, he is able to leave if anyone can match his price tag, with ESPN reporting that Chelsea value the 24-year-old at £20m, given his contract is set to expire in 2024 and there are no signs of conversations about a potential extension.

Pulisic will not be the only departure from Chelsea’s frontline, with Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all also set to leave, and the futures of Mason Mount and Romelu Lukaku still up in the air, though they too could depart.
