No fewer than four members of the academy setup at Arsenal were spotted in senior training on Saturday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, will be back in action on Sunday.
Amid efforts to maintain their advantage atop the Premier League table, the Gunners are primed to make the trip to St. Mary’s for a meeting with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton.
The clash - as is the case on every occasion in which Arsenal take to the pitch on the domestic front at present - marks a crucial one, amid the north Londoners’ surprise early-season charge towards supremacy.

And yet, as alluded to above, on Saturday, a number of up-and-coming talents were afforded the opportunity to test their talents against the club’s very best.
The youngsters in question? As showcased in the photo below - Taylor Foran, Lino Sousa, Khayon Edwards and Reuell Walters.
For those not aware of the talented quartet at hand, Taylor Foran is a 19-year-old central defender, Sousa a 17-year-old left-back, Edwards a 19-year-old attacker with previous experience as part of Mikel Arteta’s matchday setup, and Walters a 17-year-old right-back.
It seems unlikely that any of the four will be involved on Sunday, but such experience at London Colney will no doubt go a long way towards preparing each for a potential first-team role down the road.
