Gameweek 20 of the Premier League kicks off on Friday night as Jesse Marsch’s struggling Leeds side travel to Birmingham to take on Aston Villa, who have shot up the table under Unai Emery.
It had been an impressive start to his Villa Park tenure from the former Arsenal manager, but the humiliating 2-1 home defeat to Stevenage in the FA Cup leaves his side with a point to prove against a Leeds side who they shared a 0-0 draw earlier in the season.
Marsch’s side spared their own blushes by coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Cardiff on Sunday and look set to be active in the transfer market to try and put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Elsewhere in action on Friday night, Napoli host Juventus in a meeting of Serie A’s top two, while St Mirren travel to Edinburgh to take on Hearts and FA Cup giantkillers Wrexham face Altrincham in the National League.
