Premier League 2024-25 fixtures: Chelsea host Manchester City on opening weekend

Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign against champions Manchester City, with Manchester United kicking the weekend off against Fulham on Friday Night Football.

Chelsea will take on Manchester City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Enzo Maresca has been handed a baptism of fire for his first game as Blues boss as the champions visit Stamford Bridge on for the 4:30pm kick-off on Sunday, August 18.

Manchester United kick off the 2024-25 season at home to Fulham on Friday, August 16 as Erik ten Hag begins his third season at Old Trafford.

A bumper weekend of action elsewhere sees Liverpool start the Arne Slot era away at newly-promoted Ipswich on Saturday, August 17 at 12:30pm.

Meanwhile, West Ham also have a new manager in the dugout when they host Aston Villa at 5:30pm on the same day, while Tottenham are up against managerless Leicester on Monday Night Football.

Sunday’s 2pm fixture sees Crystal Palace make the short trip to face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Premier League runners-up last season Arsenal are at home to Wolves on Saturday at 3pm, along with Newcastle against Southampton and Nottingham Forest versus Bournemouth.

The Saturday 3pm slot also sees Everton host Brighton, who play their first game under 31-year-old Fabian Herzeler, the Premier League’s youngest ever permanent boss.
