Pedri gets the Messi treatment from Barcelona fans after magical winner vs Sevilla

The Barcelona faithful were quick to make their appreciation for midfield starlet Pedri known, after the Spaniard found the net in what proved to be decisive fashion versus Sevilla on Sunday evening.

Xavi Hernandez's troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

In a crunch fixture amid the battle for Champions League football in La Liga, the Blaugrana welcomed the aforementioned Sevilla to the Camp Nou, aware that a victory would guide them level with the Andalusians in 2nd place, whilst also boasting a game in hand.

And the 19-year-old was not done there, driving towards goal before picking out the bottom corner of Bono's net by means of a pinpoint strike.

Barca fans react

As alluded to above, meanwhile, on the back of the club's ever-improving Spanish international coming up with his latest decisive moment in the club's colours, Barcelona's supporters, in turn, were not at all shy in making their appreciation known.

This came as those in attendance around the Camp Nou rose to their feet, leaning into a bowing motion, and belting out chants of 'Pedri, Pedri, Pedri'.

Those to have watched Barca with any sort of frequency over the last decade+ will of course be aware that identical actions, for some time, had been reserved almost solely for club legend and 7-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.

A testament, then, to the kind of regard which Pedri is held in on the part of fans of the Blaugrana...
