On-loan Arsenal star Nuno Tavares has, on Sunday, sent a public message of support to Reiss Nelson.
Wide-man Nelson, of course, enjoyed a potentially career-altering outing earlier this afternoon.
Afforded a rare opportunity to impress off the bench owing to a Bukayo Saka injury suffered inside the opening half hour of the Gunners’ meeting with Nottingham Forest, the oft-forgotten 22-year-old took advantage of the situation in nothing short of spectacular fashion.
En route to an eventual 5-0 drubbing on the part of Mikel Arteta’s troops, Nelson bagged a brace, as well as an assist, in a timely reminder to his many doubters of the talent still possessed in the Hale End academy product’s boots.

On the back of the full-time whistle sounding at the Emirates on Sunday, it has, in turn, come as little surprise to see Nelson widely hailed amongst fans, pundits and the media alike.
And now, as alluded to above, yet another high-profile name has joined the love-in on social media.
Left-back Tavares, no stranger to criticism of his own on the back of a whirlwind debut season in north London, took to his official Twitter account to send the following message to Nelson:
