Nottingham Forest predicted XI and team news vs Chelsea

All the latest from Steve Cooper’s side

Nottingham Forest are looking to all but confirm their place in next season’s Premier League as they travel to out-of-form Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Cooper’s side picked up a priceless win over Southampton on Monday night to lift them out of the relegation zone and two points clear of the drop. Now on 32 points, three points from their final three games could be enough to keep them from being relegated, and Lampard’s out of form side offer the perfect chance to get those valuable points.

Here’s how we expect Forest to line up, and the latest team news from the City ground.

Predicted XI

Team News

Nottingham Forest may have bought a whole new squad over the last two transfer windows, but they have an entire first XI on the injury list at present.

Guilian Biancome, Dean Henderson and Chris Wood have all been ruled out for the rest of the season, along with Scott McKenna, Omar Richards and Neco Williams.

Meanwhile, Serge Aurier has picked up an issue, with no clear recovery date.

To make matters worse, Renan Lodi had to be substituted with an injury in Monday’s win, and may not be fit enough in time to face the Blues, leaving Forest very light at fullback.

In more positive news, however, January signing Gustavo Scarpa could make his return this week.

“Gustavo is getting closer. He has been out with a calf injury, and it has proved to be a little while now, but he is back on the grass. He is not at full training yet, but hopefully, it is sooner rather than later”, Cooper told the media a week ago.
