Nicolo Zaniolo says ‘yes’ to Tottenham

According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo has said “yes” to joining Tottenham.

Links between Spurs and Zaniolo aren’t that new.

Zaniolo, a 19-year-old attacking midfielder, made the move to the Stadio Olimpico last summer, as part of the deal that saw Radja Nainggolan join Inter Milan.

Tottenham have previously been linked with a 50 million euro offer for Zaniolo.

Alfredo Pedulla has now told his readers the following:

Tottenham wants Nicolo Zaniolo, regardless of (what happens with Christian) Eriksen’s expiring contract… In the last few hours, Zaniolo has said ‘yes’, a future in London intrigues him a lot.

Roma line up Toby Alderweireld signing

At the same time, Roma have been linked with a summer move for Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld.

It’s common knowledge that the Belgian international has a £25m release clause until July 26th, 2019.

Alfredo Pedulla believes reports that Roma are hoping to agree a deal with Spurs, in which Tottenham offer Alderweireld plus 27 million euros for Zaniolo.

Roma believe the value of that package is 50 million euros, as the Giallorossi hope to sign Alderweireld at a cut-price 23 million euro price tag.

Alfredo Pedulla further reports that Alderweireld has no intention of signing a new agreement with Spurs, while the Belgian wants to join Roma.

Juventus & Nicolo Zaniolo

Tottenham reportedly face competition from Juventus in the race to sign Nicolo Zaniolo.

Alfredo Pedulla says that Juve would like to include Gonzalo Higuain in any deal with Roma for their Italian international.
