Newcastle made an encouraging return to form before the international break with successive wins over Wolves and Nottingham Forest, which came after a run of five games in all competitions without a win - including the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United at Wembley.

Since then, Alexander Isak has scored in back-to-back matches and there are signs that they are getting back to their best, with Miguel Almiron also due back from injury in time for the run-in which sees 12 games to go with the Magpies two points behind Spurs.

Manchester United have responded impressively to the humiliating 7-0 thrashing to Liverpool with wins over Real Betis and Fulham, but they were held to a goalless draw by Southampton in their last league game. While their title challenge well and truly stalled, they remain in pole position to seal Champions League football and with Marcus Rashford enjoying a mini-break over the last week, should be primed for the final third of the season.
