Mohamed Salah sets two Liverpool records following Manchester United hammering

Liverpool ran riot vs Manchester United on Sunday evening.

Liverpool played host to old rivals Manchester United in a Premier League match on Sunday.

United headed into the game on the back of two impressive wins in cup competitions, which included picking up the League Cup.

The Red Devils are also 3rd in the league and were looking to close the gap on Arsenal.

However, Liverpool’s form has improved in recent weeks after a dismal first half of the campaign and they were expected to prove a stern test for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Nobody, though, could have expected Liverpool to run over Manchester United as easily as they did.

Liverpool opened the scoring 43 minutes in via Cody Gakpo after a fairly balanced first 45.

Further goals from Mohamed Salah (2), Roberto Firmino and Nunez saw Liverpool run out 7-0 winners on the day.

And after Salah scored the 4th goal vs Man United, it was revealed that the Egypitan is the first Liverpool player to score in six consecutive appearances in all competitions against Manchester United.

Salah also became Liverpool’s all-time Premier League goalscorer after his second of the day, overtaking Robbie Fowler.

Who has kept the most clean sheets in a single Premier League season?

Which club has Lionel Messi scored the most goals against?
