Liverpool have endured a mixed start to the season so far and currently sit 9th in the Premier League with two wins, four draws and one loss.
Their last league outing saw them scrape a 3-3 draw with Brighton, before beating Rangers 2-0 in the Champions League.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are top of the Premier League with seven wins and one loss.
The Gunners have scored 20 and conceded eight, which is not too far off Liverpool’s 18 goals scored and nine conceded.
However, if Arsenal are to truly prove themselves as title contenders, they need to put on a good display vs Liverpool and probably earn the win, given how bad Liverpool have been in recent weeks,
Now, ahead of clashing with Jurgen Klopp, Mikel Arteta has sent a message to his Arsenal players:
“To win those matches you really need to believe that you can go there and win and compete against those teams,” said Arteta.
“And if you don’t have that component then you have fear, and fear is the worst enemy especially against the top teams because this is what they use a lot of the time just to win football matches.
“And you cannot go with any of that into Sunday’s game, the same as we didn’t go when we played Spurs.”
