Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has, on Friday, provided a fitness update on his squad.
The Gunners, of course, are currently in the midst of final preparations for their return to action this weekend.
After slipping to a shock defeat at the hands of relegation-battling Everton last time out, a 2nd in succession across all competitions, Arteta and co. will have their sights set firmly on a bounce-back result, in a meeting with capital rivals Brentford at the Emirates.
Looking beyond Saturday, though, Arsenal will of course be hopeful of having as many of the club’s key performers as possible fit and available for selection.
This comes as the north Londoners continue to kick on sans the services of a trio of first-team stars.
Speaking to the media on Friday evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the wellbeing of all of Gabriel Jesus, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson was put to Mikel Arteta.
“The ones that were long-term – like Emile, [Smith Rowe], Reiss [Nelson] and Gabriel Jesus – they are closer and they’ve started to do some activities and have been outside. But they are not ready yet to be considered.”
