Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has, on Friday, provided a subtle insight into the club’s reinforcement plans ahead of the 2nd half of the campaign.
The Gunners, of course, are currently flying high atop the Premier League table.
Owing to a remarkable run of 11 wins from 13, Mikel Arteta’s troops have established themselves as, in the eyes of many, legitimate contenders for the title.
Their latest outing, last weekend, meanwhile, gave rise to a crucial and altogether impressive downing of capital rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Safe to say, then, that all associated with Arsenal are thoroughly enjoying recent developments on the red half of north London.
But, if the latest comments on the part of the aforementioned Mikel Arteta are anything to go by, then it would appear that the powers that be at the Emirates are far from ready to rest on their laurels.
Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, Arteta was asked whether Edu Gaspar and the transfer team at the Emirates intend to dip into the market following the turn of the year.
And the Spaniard went on to hint at as much, in explaining that:
“Of course if we can improve the team we are always going to be looking to do that. We will have a look. We will try to get stronger and be reactive.”
