Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has responded to speculation that he recently aimed a dig at his teammate, Harry Maguire.
Manchester United have been in the news a fair bit of late with most of the coverage negative.
On Tuesday it has been suggested that just two of their current players are thought to be open to the idea of pressing in a system that Ralf Rangnick likes, whilst it was suggested that there is an ‘indulgent’ culture at the club, with it being an “’open secret’ in the dressing room that little niggles could see players miss away games they didn’t necessarily fancy.”
Elsewhere, meanwhile, Harry Maguire was thought to be in a rift with Cristiano Ronaldo over the United captaincy.

Bruno Fernandes responds to Harry Maguire dig claims
To further add to this chaos, as per the Manchester Evening News, last week speculation was further increased about United’s players’ thoughts on Maguire’s leadership after Bruno Fernandes shared a picture of himself stuck between Eric Bailly and Raphael Varane during a training session with the caption: “Feeling very safe between these two.”
Some are said to have taken this to mean that Fernandes would rather see Bailly and Varane as United’s main centre-back duo, instead of Varane and Maguire.
“Honestly, I think people question everything at this club,” he told Premier League Productions. “Every week we have a new story about something.
“I posted a photo on Instagram where I was with Rapha and Eric and I said, ‘I feel very secure in the middle with these two.’ Meaning, ‘security’ like if [someone] comes they are like my bodyguards. And people were complaining I was throwing something at Maguire.
“But Maguire was not the only defender who was not in the photo. Victor Lindelof was not in the photo, Phil Jones was not in the photo.
“People want to complain and want to make stories around us, but the most important [thing] is that we stick together and do our jobs on the pitch.”
