Manchester United team news & predicted line-up vs Fulham

Erik ten Hag’s men are on the hunt to get back to winning ways after a 3-1 loss to Aston Villa, with a chance to go level with Tottenham for fourth spot in the table

A recent 3-1 loss to Aston Villa is all the motivation that Erik ten Hag needs as he looks to get Manchester United back on track this weekend as the Red Devils look to end the first half of the season on a high away at Fulham.

Questions continue to surround the situation at Old Trafford involving Cristiano Ronaldo, which will no doubt persist as Anthony Martial could lead the line in place of the Portuguese star in a fixture that has equal consequences on both ends. A United win could see them draw level with Tottenham depending on results, while a loss will have them slip outside of the top six if both Brighton and Chelsea win.

Ten Hag will no doubt be chomping at the bit given the absence of Fulham ace Aleksandar Mitrovic and will be looking to strike while the iron is hot at Craven Cottage.

Predicted Manchester United XI

Players unavailable for selection & key fitness updates

Raphaël Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Diogo Dalot (red card), Antony (doubt), Jadon Sancho (doubt)

Erik ten Hag leads his Red Devils to the capital to clash with credible Fulham but will have to do so without first-choice center-back Raphaël Varane, though the French international will still feature at the World Cup for his country.

A red card suspension for Diogo Dalot leaves Ten Hag in a bind given the unavailability of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, which means Victor Lindelöf could deputize on the right of the back four. Antony and Jadon Sancho both face late assessments, though only one of which would come into the XI if both are fit.
