  • Doubt: Scott McTominay

There’s trouble at the Theatre of Dreams for Premier League giants Manchester United at the tail-end of the 2022-23 Premier League season at a time when the Red Devils remain on the hunt for the Europa League trophy while also looking to secure Champions League football next term via the domestic pathway. The English giants have been blasted by a series of very unfortunate injuries at the wrong time, with Erik ten Hag now having to contend with the notion that Lisandro Martínez will miss the remainder of the season, while concerns that Raphaël Varane could join him.

The starting center-back pair joins Dutch international midfielder Donny van de Beek on the treatment table, who is already out for the season himself. Additionally, Marcus Rashford is also unfit for service on Sunday, and the same can be said for Alejandro Garnacho.

Ten Hag has finally recovered Casemiro after serving his suspension, while Scottish international Scott McTominay is expected to pass fit to at least make the matchday squad for the away day at the City Ground.
